April 14, 2018 to June 13, 2019… 425 days… or 60 weeks and 5 days…. or 1 year and 2 months……
Do I have you wondering?…..
As of today, June 13, 2019, this is how long we have been working without a contract.
Frustrating…. YES!… BUT we are not willing to give in to a company that is very profitable!
When your bargaining team started out a year and two months ago, we heard very loud & clear:
PROTECT OUR JOB SECURITY
PROTECT OUR HEALTH CARE
MOVE OUR MEMBERS FORWARD
This is what we intend to do!
To accomplish these goals, we need our member’s support! This company does not take you or your Bargaining Team seriously!! We need to MOBILIZE, MOBILIZE and when you think you’ve done enough MOBILIZE SOME MORE!
Some work groups are seeing more and different types of work added to their job functions….. with out any increase in pay. According to the company, these new duties fall with in the scope of current job titles. This is just one example of the blatant disregard the company has for improvement to our working conditions!
The company and the CEO have shown in this past year that their only commitment is to pay down the debt of the Time Warner deal. If that means on the backs and livelihood of Our Members, that is exactly what they will do!
Do not let them DIVIDE and CONQUER —- STAND UP! —- FIGHT BACK!
